How to Transfer Movie Film to Video

film video transfer optical boxTelecine Transfers

There are several "telecine" film to video transfer sets. Basically, the transfer set consists of an optical box. The film projector aims at one end of this box, projecting the film onto a small screen inside. A video camcorder sits snuggly at the other end of this box. The video camcorder usually sits perpendicular to the film projector because there is a mirror that reflects the image. The video camera doesn't poing directly to the movie projector to avoid the hot spots.
